Deviate from the hourly wage factor combination for a work type/coast type
If necessary, you can deviate from the hourly wage factor and surcharge that have been set for the project and/or employee. You can configure deviations for calculating the sales price based on the hourly wage per work type or per cost type. You also link the hourly wage discount to the work type.
These are deviations from the valid rule that comes from the hourly wage factor table. At the project level and/or per employee, you have indicated which rule applies.
In the work type or cost type, you enter deviating settings that take precedence over the settings at the project and employee levels. For example, you can specify the following:
- any discount on the hourly wage factor
- whether the reduced hourly wage factor applies instead of the regular one
- whether or not the surcharge should be calculated
- which deviating percentage of the basic hourly wage should be used in the calculation.
Example:
Suppose that the main table contains a line with the hourly wage factor 1.5, a reduced hourly wage factor of 1.3 and a € 0.30 surcharge. You have linked this line at the project level, which means that it also applies to all work types. In a specific work type, you can now specify that Profit does not include the surcharge in the sales price calculation.
Below you see the individual procedures for work type and cost type.
To deviate from a sales price based on an hourly wage in a work type:
- Go to: Projects / Item / Work type.
- Select the work type.
- Go to the tab: Hourly wage factor and surcharge.
- If applicable, select the Hourly wage factor discount from the Hourly wage factor discount table.
- Select the Lowered hourly wage factor check box if Profit should take this into account.
The Lowered hourly wage factor from the Hourly wage factor and surcharge main table, that is linked at the project or employee level.
- If applicable, select the No surcharge check box if you do not want the surcharge, which may appear in the valid line of the main table, to be calculated.
- If applicable for this work type, in Hourly wage percentage enter a percentage that needs to be calculated for the hourly wage. For example, 150 for Overwerk 150%. Do not enter anything here if the hourly wage must be copied as is. This means that 100% of hourly wage of the employee is used.
- Click on: OK.
To deviate from a salary based on an hourly wage in a cost type:
- Go to: Projects / Item / Costs.
- Select the cost type.
- Go to the tab: Hourly wage factor and surcharge.
