Change Date required

You can change the Date required field for a range of cost estimate lines at the same time by using a wizard in the cost estimate entry layout.

Example:

You are building a new house and you have all kinds of cost estimate lines set for a certain date. Now you hear that the window frames will be delivered two weeks later and you want to have the associated items (glass, kit, fittings) delivered later as well. You can change all the relevant lines at the same time.

Note:

You must first authorise this action using action authorisation.

To change Date required:

1. Go to: Projects / Cost estimate / Cost estimate.
2. Open the cost estimate.
3. Select the lines for which you want to change the Date required field.

   

4. Click on the action: Change date required.
5. Enter the new date in Date required.
6. Select the Blank "Date required" field check box if you want to clear Date required. This means you can no longer complete the date field.

   Upon completion of the wizard, Profit either adjusts the date for all lines selected in the entry layout, or clears the date, regardless of whether the Date required field is in the layout. If lines have been created in the Order proposal table for the lines to be changed, Profit changes the date in these order proposal lines as well.

   Note:

   Lines for which a purchase order has already been created will be modified in the cost estimate but not in the corresponding purchase order.

7. Click on: Finish.
8. Click on: Finish.
