Order proposal line from a sales order
If you want to have an order proposal line created during the sales order entry then you must set this up per article.
To set up an article for an order proposal from a sales order:
- Go to: Order Management / Item / Article.
- Open the properties of the article.
- Go to the tab: Stock.
- In Stock profile select a stock profile with order proposal, for example Order in case of stock shortage, Small qty in stock, purch large orders immediately or Never in stock.
- If you do not select a stock profile, you must set the fields manually:
- In Stock check, select how the check should take place when a sales order is added, for example, Check for available stock (sales order and packing slip) (checks if the physical stock is sufficient) or Check for economic stock (sales order) (checks if the physical and ordered stock is sufficient at the moment of the sales order; for the packing slip the physical stock is checked).
- In Order proposal with sales, select one of the options (other than Never).
- If applicable, select Stock replenishment and complete the associated fields if, in addition to the sales lines, you also want to generate order proposals to replenish the stock to a specific level.
- In Allocate in sales, select whether a purchase order must be allocated to a sales order with this article via the order proposal or that a question must appear about this during the sales order entry.
- In Allocate pending orders, select whether or not a pending order should be automatically allocated to a purchase order.
- Go to the tab: Purchase contacts.
- Check if a purchase contact has been added. If there are multiple purchase contacts, select the Preferred purchase contact check box for one of them in the properties. The article will be ordered from this purchase contact.
- Click on: OK.
- Change the entry layout for sales orders.
