Description
In the Order planning function, you can view which orders, cost estimates and assemblies you still need to perform per article. This provides you with an insight into the goods flows per article. You see only the active or short-supply lines.
In addition to the view, you can also allocate existing purchase orders to sales orders or change an existing allocation. For example, you can prioritise a rush sales order by linking it to a purchase order that comes in quickly.
Cost estimates and assemblies are only visible for informational purposes.
Note:
You can only use the automatic allocation if you do not generate order proposals from sales orders.
During allocation, you also see blocked purchase orders. You do not see blocked salesorders.
Preparation
- Configuration
If you want to use Order planning, first authorise this function.
Procedure
- View orders per article
You can consult an overview of the future goods flow. You see which sales orders and purchase orders there are and how they are linked. Cost estimates and assemblies are shown as extra information.
- Manually allocate purchase and/or sales orders per article
Using the Order planning you can manually allocate your purchase and sales orders per article. Sales orders can also be allocated automatically; you can only allocate purchase orders manually.
- Automatically allocate sales orders per article
Using the Order planning you can allocate your sales orders per article. You can allocate sales orders to purchase orders automatically or manually. Both are only possible within the warehouse.
- Undo the order allocation
You can undo the allocation using the Order planning per article, but also in the order itself, for example. The benefit of using the Order planning is that you have an overview of orders of the same type (for instance, all sales orders) and all allocations (within the same warehouse).
- View orders per article in case of multiple warehouses
If you have multiple warehouses, you will want to view and schedule the orders (sales and purchase orders) for all warehouses. Cost estimates and assemblies are shown as extra information.
- Allocate orders per article in case of multiple warehouses
You can allocate your orders, cost estimate and assemblies per article. If you have multiple warehouses you can, in principle, only allocate to the orders, etc. that are registered in the same warehouse.
