Add warehouse locations

You use warehouse locations to specify where the articles in a warehouse are, for example to simplify picking the articles. Locations are always linked to a warehouse. The combination of warehouse and location makes a location unique.

One default location provided per warehouse.

You must first activate the Tracking stock at warehouse locations function before you can use it.

You define locations separately. You then link a location to a warehouse in the warehouse properties. You can also add a location and immediately add it to all warehouses. This can be useful if you use the same method in all warehouses.

You can also import warehouse locations by selecting Order Management / Management / Import stock / Warehouse location.

To add warehouse locations:

Go to: Order Management / Stock / Location.
Click on: New.
Enter a logical code for the location and enter the description.
If applicable, select the barcode details.
If you want to populate all warehouses with the same locations using the same methodology, select the Generate for all warehouses check box. If you do not select this check box, you can later on add the locations to a warehouse from the properties of the warehouse.
Click on: Finish.

To select a warehouse location manually for a warehouse:

When viewing a warehouse, you can select new locations and display the stock overview for the warehouse.

Go to: Order Management / Stock / Location.
Open the warehouse properties.
Go to the tab: Warehouse locations.
Click on: New.
Complete the fields.
In Location select the location from the location table.
Click on: Finish.
