Add a move preparation

You can prepare to move the stock to another warehouse with a Preparation for transfer. Profit reserves the article in the first warehouse and at the target warehouse Profit shows that the article is on order.

You can print the move preparation, for example, so that you can have the goods picked in the warehouse.

To add a move preparation:

1. Go to: Order Management / Warehouse transfer / Preparation for transfer.
2. Click on: New.
3. In Source warehouse select the warehouse from which you want to move articles
4. In Target warehouse select the warehouse to which you want to move the articles.
5. Enter a value in Requested receipt if there is a date by which you want to have the articles in the target warehouse.
6. Enter a value in Promised receipt if after consultation with employees at the source warehouse a date is promised.
7. In Code enter the article number of the article for which you are tracking stock.
8. In Item type enter the type, for example, Art for article. 
9. Enter the quantity of articles that you want to move in Number of units.
10. Complete the line.
11. Select the line you have just added again.

    At the bottom of the entry layout, you see that the article is reserved: the Reserved (source warehouse) field is increased by the quantity from the line. On order (total) has also been increased because in the target warehouse the article is now 'on order' for the same quantity as is reserved in the source warehouse.

13. Click on: Finish or click on the Create shipment note action in the entry layout, if you want to add a shipment note with this data immediately.
14. Click on: Yes if you want to print the move preparation, for example, for picking.
