View a warehouse move
While moving stock from one warehouse to another, you can view the article properties to see the status of the transfer and therefore where the stock is actually located. This can only be done if you have used a move preparation for the transfer.
You can view the movement of the stock on the article tabs:
- Stock overview
Here you can see which quantity of the total stock of the article is Reserved for transfer and On order using transfer. If you cannot see these fields, you must first add them to the view.
- Warehouse transfer
Here you see the number of units that are being moved form the source warehouse and to which target warehouse. So this view can contain multiple lines.
To view a warehouse moves after the move preparation:
- Go to: Order Management / Item / Article.
- Open the properties of an article.
- Go to the tab: Stock overview.
In Reserved for transfer and in On order using transfer you can see the total quantity that you are going to send via the move preparation.
If both quantities are the same, then only a move preparation has been created.
If the quantity in Reserved for transfer is lower than the one in On order using transfer, a shipment note has been created. As soon as you have created a shipment note for the move preparation, Profit writes off the quantity reserved.
As soon as you have created a receipt note, Profit reduces the quantity on order.
- Go to: Actions (F8) / Stock spec.
- Go to the tab:Warehouse transfer.
You now see which quantity you will move from which source warehouse to which target warehouse. If there are no lines here, then the movement of stock is complete.
- Click on: Close.
