Authorise a user for tabs

A user is given the rights for a tab as they are set for the groups of which he is a member. You can set exceptions per user.

You can also set the authorisation per user, but this does not improve clarity and maintainability. We therefore recommend always setting the authorisation per authorisation group.

To authorise a user for tabs:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to the tab:User maintenance.
  3. Select the user.
  4. Go to the tab: Authorisation.
  5. Open the desired heading and sub-heading until you reach the Tabs item.
    • Select Tabs to set the authorisation for all the underlying tabs.
    • Select a specific tab to set the authorisation for it.
  6. At the bottom-right, choose between No access, Read only and Maintain.
  7. Select the Maintain access right.

At the bottom of the window, Profit shows that the Read only right has been granted via a group. By selecting Maintain you have deviated from this at the user level.
