Add and activate a page type for cockpit pages (local installation)

In order to publish cockpits add, you must a separate page type and activate it in the properties of the site.

To add a page type:

  1. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Page type.
  2. Click on: New cockpit type.
  3. Complete the fields.
  4. Click on: Finish.

To activate a page type:

  1. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Site.
  2. Open the properties of the site.
  3. Go to the tab: Page types.
  4. Select the check box for publishing the cockpits.
  5. Click on: OK.

    The site is published again. This may take some time.

To authorise pages:

You can authorise new pages in two ways:

  • Using an authorisation role

    When you create a new page type, new functionality is created. You link this functionality to a role. The result is that users that are authorised for the role, are also authorised for the functionality and the linked pages.

    • Go to: General / In & OutSite / Configuration / Authorisation role.
    • Open the role.
    • Go to the tab: Functionality.
    • Add the functionality.
  • Using a functionality

    When you create a new page type, a new page is created. You link this page to a functionality. The result is that users that are authorised for the functionality, are also authorised for the role.

    • Go to: General / In & OutSite / Configuration / Functionality.
    • Open the functionality.
    • Go to the tab: Pages.
    • Add the page.
