Include an image in a report
You can include an external image, such as a logo, in a report layout. An image can be located anywhere, but the most logical place is usually in a header or footer.
Take the following into account:
- Only the following graphic formats are supported: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .wmf, .emf. The use of other formats can result in an error message.
- An error message can appear if the file is too large (height x width). If you want to print the report on paper, first run a test to make sure the image is printed correctly.
- If an error message containing the text ‘Invalid picture’ appears, the graphics file is corrupt. Create the image again and save it in one of the supported formats.
If elements overlap (for example, if an image is combined with text and fields), it may be necessary to put one of the elements in the foreground or the background. Select the element and use the following buttons:
(Element / Overlap / To background)
(Element / Overlap / To foreground)
