Add a page

A site manager adds new pages to the site. Before you add a menu item, you first add a page that you later link to the menu item. This is the landing page of the menu item.

If you know where you want to display the page, then create the page from the menu. The page is then automatically put in the correct place within the site.

To add a page:

  1. Log on and start Site management.
  2. Click on: New (in the Pagina frame).
  3. Select the document template.
  4. Click on: New document.

The description that you enter is also the name of the HTM file. If you include spaces in the description, Profit replaces these with hyphens.

  5. Enter the description.
  6. Click on: Save.
  7. Click on: Properties.
  8. Click on: + behind Image.
  9. Click on: Browse....
  10. Select the image.
  11. Click on: Create.
  12. Click on: Publish.

You can also choose to exit the page without publishing it. In this case, the page keeps the Draft status, which means that a visitor cannot see the new page (or the changes to an existing page).

  13. Click on: Yes.

    Note:

The published page is not yet visible for an external user. The Profit Update Service checks if anything has been changed and will then publish the page.

You still need to make the page visible in the menu.

  14. Click on: Menu in the Site frame.
  15. Go to: the place on your website where you want to show the page.
  16. Click on: New.
  17. Select the Refer to existing page action.
  18. Click on: Next.
  19. Select the page added via 2G_Pagina toevoegen (20) ‘Search’.

    Note:

Pages that have not yet been published can be found at the very bottom of the overview. Click on the 'Published' column header to reverse the sorting. Now the unpublished pages are at the top.

  20. Select how you want to open the page.

The added page is now visible in the menu.

  21. Click on:Toevoegen.
  22. Click on: Publish.
  23. Click on: Yes.
