Add or supplement a sales contact/debtor
If a person or organisation orders something from your organisation, you have to add a new sales contact. You record general information, but also, for example, a delivery address, bank account numbers and, if applicable, different contacts (persons or departments).

Description
Profit contains a central table with all organisations and persons. This is where you record only general information per organisation or person, for the purposes of relationship management.
You record companies as organisations. You record all people as Persons.
In addition, you have contact persons. A contact person is the link between an organisation and a person. A contact person at an organisation therefore at the same time is a person.
When adding a new debtor, Profit checks whether it is already known as an organisation or person. If that is the case, a message appears and you only have to enter the data of the organisation or person that is required to link the organisation and register it as a sales contact/debtor. If the new debtor is not yet registered as an organisation/person, you directly add it as a new debtor. Profit automatically adds a new organisation/person.
An organisation/person can be both a debtor and a creditor.
Example:
Bakkerij Lekkerbek is a contact of AFAS Software in :
- This bakery uses Profit for its administration and is therefore an AFAS Software debtor.
- Because of its daily deliveries of rolls to AFAS Software, this bakery is also a creditor of AFAS Software.
