Request a ‘BAPI’ PKI certificate

You request a PKI certificate from KPN via Profit if you do not have a valid certificate. Profit sends a digital request to KPN. You must print, sign and send in the application form yourself.

If you do have a valid PKI certificate, skip this step. In that case you can immediately import the PKI certificate in Profit.

You can have only one current request. If you want to make a new request while you still have an outstanding request, then you must first complete the request process for the current request or delete the current request. An incorrect request can lead to the following situations:

  • 'KPN' rejects the request. 'KPN' will notify you of this. Open the properties of the request and then click on Rejected request action. You can now submit the request again.
  • You have found an error and want to submit the request again. Go the properties of the request, delete the request, and submit a new request. You have to cancel the old request to ‘KPN’.

To request a PKI certificate:

  1. You must first register as a subscriber with KPN via https://kpnbapi.managedpki.com/registratie/.
  2. Go to: General / Communication service / Communication profile.
  3. Open the properties of the communication profile. Communication with tax authority (BAPI).
  4. Deselect the Block check box.
  5. Go to the tab: Certificate request.
  6. Click on: New.
  7. Enter the 'KPN' subscriber number.

You do not need to complete the ‘BAPI’ dossier number field; you do not as yet have it in case of a new request. In case of an extension you do have it; a different procedure applies for this purpose.

    Note:

Deze gegevens moeten overeenstemmen met de gegevens bij de Kamer van Koophandel. Zo niet, dan keurt KPN de aanvraag af! Vergelijk de ingevulde gegevens ook met de gegevens van uw abonnement bij KPN.

  8.  Complete the fields.
  9. Click on: Next.

The name of the requester is the name of the natural (company) representative authorised to request digital certificates. The authority to represent the company must be recognisable and be in conformance with the register of the Chamber of Commerce. In case of joint or limited powers, the signature of one of the authorised directors suffices. For organisations that are not registered with the Chamber of Commerce, the requester declares that he/she is independently authorised to request certificates, by signing the request.

  10. Click on: Finish.

Profit displays a window that shows the properties of the request.

The request gets the Request registered in Profit status.

  11. Check your data and make changes as necessary.
  12. Click on the action: Electronic request.

Profit tests the connection required to send out the request. If the test is successful, a message will be shown and you can then continue with the following steps. If the test is not successful, read the details of the error message and resolve the problem. Next click on the Electronic request action again.

  13. Click on: OK.

Profit reports that you are about to send the request.

  14. Click on: Yes.

You can no longer change the details of the request after you have sent the request.

The request is given the Electronic request has been sent. status.

  15. Click on the action: Print request.

Profit displays a print view of the request.

  16. Print the request form, sign it and send it to the following address:

    KPN Corporate Market B.V.
