Reset the password for the Profit Application Service

It can happen that you cannot retrieve your password for the Profit Application Service; in that case you can reset the password.

To reset your password:

1. Go to: ..\Program files (x86)\Profit\AFAS Windows\Kernel\Profit Site Deployment.
2. Start the Profit Site Deployment tool.
3. Configure the Profit Application Service.

   

4. Click on:Logingegevens.
5. Enter a Gebruikersnaam and the Wachtwoord.

   Remember these details, as you will need them later on in Profit when you link the virtual path.

   Note:

   The old password has been cached in IIS on the application server where the Profit Application Service is configured. In order to implement the new password in IIS you will need to reset IIS.

   To run an IIS reset:

• Go to: Start / Uitvoeren.
• Type: IISRESET and press Enter.
• Wait until the screen that has opened, is closed again.

1. Log in to the central log-on environment. The function below is only available in this environment.
2. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Configuration / Domain.
3. Open the domain properties.
4. Go to the tab: Virtual paths.
5. Open the properties of a virtual path.
6. Go to the tab: Settings.
7. Enter the Service user name and the Service password.
8. Click on: OK.

   Repeat this for all the virtual paths that have been set up with this Profit Application Service.
