Country settings
For a country, you can record some settings, which makes entry of addresses less prone to errors and makes addresses easier to look up.

Description
Profit comes with a country table with all of the countries in the world. This table is maintained by AFAS so that the correct 'CBS' code and the correct ISO codes are used. You cannot add or delete countries yourself. In the properties of a country, you can however change the way in which an address is displayed, entered and checked.
You can add provinces, regions and cities.
Procedure
- General country settings
You can change a country name and indicate whether the country can process SEPA payments yet.
- Set up the address check for each country
You configure the address settings per country. This allows you to specify, for example, that in Dutch addresses the house number follows the street name, while in British addresses the house number precedes the street name.
You can also specify whether Profit should check for the completeness of addresses entered when persons and organisations, purchase and sales contacts, etc. are added. Using this function, you can prevent incomplete addresses in the central address table. This check is also performed when importing address details.
- Add a province
You can add, maintain and delete provinces. By default, you have a table of Dutch and Belgian provinces available.
- Add a region
You can add, maintain and delete regions. By default, you have a table of Belgian regions available.
- City/Place of Birth
You can add, maintain and delete cities. By default, cities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany are available. The main cities and capitals outside this region are also available.
- Day closed
The Days closed table contains the days the company is closed. These can be public holidays supplied as defaults or days you have added yourself.
