Enter a sales Invoice with payment instalments

You can invoice and collect invoices in instalments (parts). You add the sales invoice in the usual way. You can also 'manually' enter the invoice in the sales journal in Profit Financieel. The invoice automatically includes the default payment condition and payment instalments as you have set them up for the sales contact/debtor. You can also set up this payment condition and the payment instalments at the invoice level. This also applies to the collection settings.

Add a sales invoice with payment instalments

You add the sales invoice and journalise it.

To add a sales invoice with payment instalments:

In this example you add an invoice manually.

  1. Go to: 
    • Order Management / Sales process / Invoice
    • Order Management / Sales process / Counter/direct invoice
    • Subscriptions / Invoicing / Pro forma invoices
    • Projects / Invoicing / Invoices
    • CRM / Course management / Invoicing / Invoices
  2. Click on:  New.
  3. Enter the invoice number if you do not want to use auto numbering.
  4. Select the sales contact.

    The sales contact has the Debtor status and cannot be blocked. Profit copies data from the properties of the selected sales contact. These include the VAT duty, Delivery address, Payment condition, Payment method, Currency and Collect.

  5. Go to the tab: Payment.

  6. Check that the Collect check box has been selected.
  7. Check that the correct payment condition with payment instalments has been selected.
  8. If required, complete the other fields in the entry layout header.
  9. Add the item/article lines.
  10. Click on:  Finish.
  11. Depending on the settings in the entry layout you still need to answer some questions, for example whether you want to print the invoice. Make a choice. You can now immediately add another invoice. If you do not want to add another invoice, click on Cancel.
  12. Journalise the invoice.

It is also possible to enter a sales invoice in Profit Financieel manually.

To enter a sales invoice with payment instalments:

  1. Go to:  Financial / Enter / Journal.
  2. Check Financial year and Period. These are the financial year and the period to which you post the entry.
  3. Select the sales journal.
  4. Click on:  Finish.
  5. Enter the entry date in Date entry.
  6. Select the debtor in Account, or enter the search name of the debtor in Search help.
  7. Next enter the sales entry.
  8. Click on:  Finish.
