Configure leave types
The leave types (such as holidays, 'ATV' and special leave) are part of the term of employment. Leave types contain settings for leave entitlement and balance determination, extra leave, deduction and payment of leave, journalising the value of leave entitlements and the purchase or payment of leave.
Description
A leave type is used as follows:
- Record the basic leave type per leave period.
- Determine extra leave entitlement based on age and/or years of service and job type.
- Integration with Profit Projecten:
- Write leave lines to the actual costing.
- Accrual of the leave balance based on the actual costing.
- Channel the actual costing to Profit Payroll.
- Integration with Profit Payroll:
- Buy or pay out leave.
- Journalise the value of leave entitlement.
Leave type is based on the Leave type table. This table contains all leave types that can be used in an environment. You add the leave types you actually want to use for the employees concerned per CLA/term of employment. The Leave type table has a number of default values that you can extend.
Note:
Because of the link via the table, an employee who changes CLA/term of employment can take his leave balance with him.
A leave type cannot be deleted if a leave entry has been posted to it.
