Change the header of the cost estimate

After completing the header of a cost estimate/quotation, you can still change some data. Which fields you can change in the header of the cost estimate/quotation depends on the fields you have added to the entry layout. You can change, for example, the contact, quotation status and VAT duty.

You can only change the header if the cost estimate has the Current status.

When you change the contact, Profit automatically redetermines the contact data based on the VAT, currency, etc. The lines retain the price of the original contact. If required, you can change it manually.

You cannot change the Project number field if you have selected the Quotation number same as project number or Quotation number same as project number and phaseproject setting.

You change the data in the header of the cost estimate/quotation using the Change header action in the entry layout. You must first authorise this action.

To change the header of a cost estimate/quotation:

  1. Go to:Projects / Cost estimate / Cost estimate
  2. Open the properties of the active quotation/cost estimate that you want to change.

    You now see the entry layout. Multiple entry layouts may be available. If so, select the entry layout you want to use.

  3. Click on the action: Change header.
  4. Select another contact in the entry layout header.
  5. If necessary, change the price.
  6. Click on: Finish.
