Add a specific team from a project and link it to a project
If you want to link a specific team to one project only, use the project properties to add this team.
To add a specific team and link it to a project:
- Go to: Projects / Project / Project.
- Open the project properties.
- Go to the tab: Team.
- Click on the action: Maintain.
If a generic team is linked to the project and you want make that team a specific team, click on the Make specific action.
Profit opens an entry lay-out for the new team. You see that the Specific to one project check box is selected.
- Complete the fields.
Profit automatically enters the project number in Team and the project description in Description if the entry layout for Teams has the Copy header data for specific teams from project check box selected.
- Click on: Finish.
Profit asks if you want to change the (internal or external) project manager for the project. Click on Process team changes.
- Go to the tab: Project management.
- Profit copies the data in Internal project manager and External project manager from the data of the team if you have entered it there.
- Check the data.
- Select the Only allow team members to enter actual costing check box if you want only team members to be allowed to post entries to this project.
- Click on: OK.
