Add a user who is also an employee

If you employ a new employee, you first add him/her as an employee in Profit HR. This automatically creates a new person in Profit CRM. You then use the Authorisation tool to add the user and link the user to the person. This will automatically create the link between user - person - employee.

To add a user already recorded as an employee:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to the tab: User maintenance.
  3. Go to: User / New user (or click on ).
  4. Enter the full name of the employee.
  5. Click on: the check button to the right of the Name field.

  6. Click on: Matching persons.

    You see a search window showing persons whose names match the name you entered.

  7. Select the person you want to link to the user.
  8. Click on: OK.

    Profit copies the person's data to the window and you cannot change it here.

  9. Click on: Next
  10. Enter the login name in User.

    If you are using Windows authentication in Profit, you must use the same user names for Windows and for Profit.

  11. Click on: Next.
  12. Set the access.
  13. Click on: Finish
