Configure an article group
You bundle the articles into article groups.
Description
You use article groups to classify your article range. You can group articles with the same feature into an article group. The article group is also used for:
- Journalising
For each article group, you record the ledger accounts for the journalising; you always journalise logistics entries by article group.
- Margins
You can record percentages for the maximum discount and minimum margin for each article group. You record the checks for this in the entry layouts used in the order process.
- Discount
You can record purchase discounts and sales discounts for each article group.
Procedure
- Add an article group
You add article groups to group your article range by specific features. If you want to journalise logistics entries, you must also record ledger accounts for the journalising .
- Change an article group
If you activate specific functionality at a later date, you may be required to specify additional settings in the article groups to ensure that Profit journalises the transactions in the correct ledger account.
- View an article group
Per article group, you can view which ledger accounts are linked, which articles and assembled items are contained in the article group and what minimum and maximum margins apply.
