Import a CLA Update into a single environment

You import a new CLA in Profit.

To import CLA Updates:

Note:

Run the import procedure at a time when Profit Payroll is not being used by other users.

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Click on the action: Import.
  3. Click on: File.
  4. You now have the choice:
    • Import a single CLA Update

      Select the desired file.

    • Import several CLA Updates

Press and hold the Ctrl key and click on the desired files.

You can tell a CLA Update file by the extension '.prg'.

  5. Click on: Open.
  6. Click on: Finish.

    Profit imports the CLA Update(s).

On completion Profit displays a window with the status of the import. If Profitdisplays an error, double-click on the line with the error message. Profit displays the error information.

When you import the CLA for the new year, Profit can report the following: Cannot install the Profit CLA update [version] for CLA [version]. Currently, you have Profit CLA update [version] installed. This version is too old.

Profit reports this because you have not imported the last version of the CLA for the closed year. You need to import the last version for the preceding year before you can import the first version for the new year.

  7. Click on: Finish.

When you import a CLA Update for the first time, Profit does not yet display it in the view with CLAs. You now first add a new CLA based on the imported CLA Update.

  8. After importing a CLA, complete the following steps:
    1. Perform the Refresh current data action.
    2. Consult the CLA Release Notes.

AFAS uses the release notes to inform you of all major changes and adjustments in the CLA.

    3. Check the configuration of the journal structure.

If the CLA Update contains a new wage component, configure it in the journal structure.

To import a folder with CLA Updates:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Click on the action: Import.
  3. Click on: Folder.
  4. Select the folder.
  5. Click on: OK.

Profit displays the selected folder and will import all CLA Updates in this folder.

  6. Click on: Finish.
