Add the leave type for parental leave

For parental leave you add a separate leave type.

To add a leave type:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Open the CLA properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Term of employment.
  4. Open the properties of the term of employment.
  5. Go to the tab: Leave.
  6. Click on: New
  7. Enter the start date.
  8. Select the leave type for parental leave.
  9. Select Unpaid leave for Basic leave type.

    If you enter unpaid leave for an employee, Profit will reduce the periodical entitlement to holidays and WTR, because legally an employee cannot accrue periodical entitlement over unpaid hours.

  10. Click on: Next.
  11. In the settings specify that a negative balance is not allowed.
  12. Click on: Next.

    You can integrate the leave type with the actual costing:

    1. Select the Integrate leave entries in actual costing check box.
    2. Select the hour type to which the leave entries must be posted. If applicable, you can also select a work type and a project. 
  13. Click on: Finish.
  14. Click on: Yes. You recalculate the leave entitlement.
