Enter parental leave entitlement

You enter the leave entitlement of the employee for parental leave.

Because the leave type for parental leave does not provide any basic leave entitlement, no balance lines are created for employees. Legally, an employee is not allowed to accrue a periodical entitlement over unpaid hours.

To enter entitlement to parental leave for an employee:

  1. Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
  2. Open the properties of the employee.
  3. Go to: Actions (F8) / Leave balance.

    Profit displays the leave balance lines for all years (from the employment start date) in the leave period table. There is no line for parental leave yet.

  4. Close the window.
  5. Go to the tab: Leave balance correction.
  6. Click on: New.
  7. If necessary, change the entry date.

    Profit automatically determines the financial year and the leave period based on the entry date.

  8. Select the leave type for parental leave.
  9. Enter the periodical entitlement in Number of hours.
  10. Click on: Finish
  11. Go to: Actions (F8)Leave balance.

    A leave balance line for parental leave is displayed.

    You can now enter the parental leave as a leave range.
