Move a downloadable file to a different page type

You can move downloadable pages from one page type to another. In that case, pages also get the authorisation of the new type of page.

To move a downloadable file to a different page type:

  1. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Page type.
  2. Open the properties of the page type to which the downloadable page is linked.
  3. Go to the tab: Pages.
  4. Select the check boxes of the pages to be moved.
  5. Click on: Move.
  6. Select the page type to which you want to move the downloadable page.
  7. Click on: Next.
  8. If required, select the sites for which you want to generate redirections.

    Redirections are important if you have shared hyperlinks to downloadable files. If you add a redirection, hyperlinks to downloadable files will continue to work.

  9. Click on: Finish.
