Link a project profile to a new project

When you add a new project, you can select a project profile. Profit directly copies the values from the profile. You then only complete the remaining required data.

To link a project profile to a new project:

  1. Go to:Projects / Project / Project.
  2. Click on: New.
  3. Select the project profile on which you want to base this project.
Profit then copies the field settings and the preferred values of the selected project profile to this project.
  4. Click on: Next.
  5. Complete the remaining fields.
  6. Complete the wizard.

If you have added a project containing phases, cost estimate and/or invoice instalments to the project profile, you do not see this copied data when adding the project. However, you can see it in the properties of the project.

Link a project profile to an existing project

You can also link an existing project to a project profile afterwards. In that case Profit only copies the settings and not the values, so no preferred values or cost estimate and phases, etc. However, a field may suddenly become mandatory.

To link a project profile to an existing project:

  1. Go to: Projects / Project / Project.
  2. Open the project properties.
  3. Go to the tab: General.
  4. In Project profile, select the project profile.
  5. Click on: OK.
