Record a dossier item for a forecast

You can record dossier items, such as scanned documents and notes, for a forecast.

Adjust the dossier item type for a forecast

A dossier item is always based on a dossier item type. For the desired dossier item type, Sales contact + forecast must have been set as the destination. Otherwise you will not be able to use the dossier item type for forecasts.

To change the dossier item type:

In this example you change the Note dossier item type, so you can add notes to forecasts.

  1. Go to: CRM / Dossier / Configuration / Dossier item type.
  2. Open the properties of the dossier item type.Note.
  3. Go to the tab: Dossier.
  4. Select Sales contact + forecast.
  5. Click on: Make optional.
  6. Click on: OK

Record a dossier item for a forecast

Dossiers play an important role in sales processes: your prospect may contact you about earlier appointments and correspondence, in which case it is useful to be able to display everything in one view.

To record a dossier item for a forecast:

  1. Go to: CRM / Sales automation / Forecast.
  2. Open the properties of the forecast..
  3. Go to the tab: Dossier.
  4. Click on: New
  5. Select Note in Dossier item type.
  6. Click repeatedly on: Next
  7. Enter your note.
  8. Click repeatedly on: Next.  and then on Finish.

    Profit displays the dossier item in the properties of the forecast.

  9. Go to: Actions (F8) / Sales contact.

    Profit opens the sales contact properties.

  10. Go to the tab: Dossier.

    All dossier items related to this sales contact/prospect are shown.
