Close a forecast

A forecast can result in scoring a sales order or losing the order to a competitor. In both cases, you close the forecast.

After closing a forecast, you can still view its properties but you can no longer change them.

To close a forecast:

  1. Go to: CRM / Sales automation / Forecast.
  2. Open the properties of the forecast..
  3. Go to the tab: Result.
  4. Select a value for Forecast result.

    If you have scored the order and the order is linked to a campaign, Profit also adds the order amount to the order revenue of the campaign.

    If you did not score the order, you can indicate the competitor you lost the order to. For a further analysis of lost orders you can use the Forecasts lost to competitors (Profit) report which shows you who your strongest competitors are.

  5. Complete the remaining fields.
  6. Click on: OK
