Add a linked asset to an asset

You can link assets if you want to depreciate them collectively. The depreciation takes place on the main asset that contains the total purchase value. The linked asset has no purchase value.

To add and link an asset:

  1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset.
  2. Click on: New.
  3. Enter the general data for the asset as described above.
  4. In Linked to asset, select the main asset.

  5. Complete the remaining fields.

    You cannot enter financial or depreciation data for a linked asset.

  6. Click on: Next.
  7. Click on: Finish.
  8. Open the properties of the main asset.
  9. Go to the tab: Linked assets.
  10. Determine that three sub assets have been added.

To link multiple assets to a main asset:

You can only link assets without depreciation information.

  1. Go to: Financial / Fixed assets / Asset.
  2. Open the properties of the main asset.
  3. Go to the tab: Linked assets.
  4. Click on: New.
  5. Select the asset to be linked.
  6. Click on: Finish.
