Assign authorisation roles to user groups

You can link authorisation roles to user groups.

Note:

You only assign an authorisation role to persons (Users) within the group. This does not grant system users any rights.

To assign an authorisation role to a user group:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to the tab: Group maintenance.
  3. Select the user group for assigning authorisation roles.
  4. Go to the tab: InSite on the right side of the screen.
  5. Select the authorisation role(s).

Rights via user or group:

Because you can assign authorisation roles both to the user and to the group, the icon tells you what sort of rights the user has. If the user has rights via a user group, you will see a green check mark on the icon.

  1. Go to the tab: Users in group.

    Here you see the users that are linked to the group.

  2. Go to the tab: InSite.

    You see the authorisation roles the user is linked to.

    Via the group, the user is linked to the authorisation roles Beheerder HRM, and:

  3. Close the Authorisation tool.
  4. Click on: Yes.
