Add and authorise an InSite site manager

You determine which users may act as site administrator (webmaster).

To authorise a site administrator:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to the tab: User maintenance.
  3. Open the properties of the user.
  4. Go to the tab: Applications.
  5. Select the InSite check box.

    If the user has access to Profit Windows, the InSite check box is automatically selected and cannot be changed.

  6. Click on: OK.
  7. Go to the tab: InSite (on the right side of the window).
  8. Select the Manager insite check box.
  9. Configure the site management authorisation:
    1. Go to the tab: Authorisation.
    2. Go to: General / In & OutSite /Actions.
    3. Click on the action: Site management.
    4. In Authorisation of the selected item:, select Allowed:

To configure the filter authorisation:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
  2. Go to: Extra/Data filter maintenance (or click ).

  3.  Click on: General - Manage definition (report, analysis, document, etc.).
  4. Select According to filter. If this field has already been selected, you need to add a filter for site management (as explained below). Otherwise, no user has access to site management.

  5. Click on: Add.
  6. Enter the description.
  7. Select the access According to filter.
  8. Select Type of definition (Type) in Field name.
  9. Filter by the value: = 21

    21 is the code of Site.

  10. Click on: OK.
  11. Go to the tab: Group maintenance.
  12. Select the user group of which the site administrators are members.
  13. Go to the tab: Authorisation.
  14. Select the filter that grants the right to site management.
  15. Select Filter active.

  16. Close the Authorisation tool.

    Users who are granted rights via this procedure need to log on again to InSite if they are still currently logged in.
