Add an organisation
If you add an organisation from Profit CRM, you can only complete the general fields.
To add an organisation:
- Go to: CRM / Organisation/person / Organisation/person.
- Click on: New.
- Select Organisation.
- Click on: Next.
- Enter the full organisation name in Name.
If you have a contract with company.info and you wok with AFAS Online, you can click on the search button behind the name field. Here the Search in company information action is available.
If you do meet the requirements but do not see this button, the communication profile is probably blocked.
More information:
- Press: Tab.
- The search name is suggested automatically. Change it to a search name that you find useful for finding the organisation later on.
- To the right of the Address field, click on the Search button to add a new address.
- Enter the postal code and house number, for example , and press Tab.
- Enter the street.
- Click on: OK.
If the address exists in the address file, you return to the wizard and you can continue adding the organisation.
The address is automatically added to the Postal address field. Change the postal address if it is not the same as the visiting address.
Note:
Profit by default checks the Dutch addresses for completeness. If you do not want this check performed for international addresses, disable this check in the properties of the country in question.
If a foreign city does not yet exist, you add it to the city table.
If the postal code area covers two cities, Profit shows a selection window with both cities. This can only occur for addresses in Belgium and Luxembourg.
- Enter the communication data for the organisation.
If possible, select the Provide values for additional organisation fields check box. If you have specified that the additional data must be entered, you cannot select this check box and you always have to complete the additional fields in one of the following steps.
- Click on: Next.
Note:
Profit checks for duplicates and notifies you if the database already contains an organisation with the same name or the same address.
The handling of duplicates is explained separately.
- If applicable, enter the statutory data.
- If applicable, complete the fields under Title/correspondence.
- Click on: Next.
- If applicable, complete the fields under Other data.
- Click on: Finish.
