Add a timetable with a variable work pattern
You define a timetable with a variable work pattern for employees who do not work on fixed working days and/or working hours.
This is the case if the employee works a certain number of hours per week, but is allowed to determine the daily start and end time and/or divide the hours across a number of days himself.
If many employees have the same work pattern, you can add the timetable at a high level in the CLA/term of employment. If this is not the case, configure the timetable for the employee in question yourself.
Example:
You agree with an employee that he or she works a total of 20 hours each week. The employee determines how the hours are spread across the working days. You add a timetable with a variable work pattern for this.
To add a timetable with a variable work pattern:
- Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
- Open the properties of the employee.
- Go to the tab: Timetable.
- Click on: New.
- Enter the start date.
- If the Default timetable field has been completed, delete this value first. Only then are the required fields available.
- Select the Variable work pattern check box.
- Do not select the Variable pattern in work timetable check box.
- Enter the number of days and hours per week.
- Check the Number of FTE and Part-time (%) fields.
Profit calculates the part-time factor based on the working week in the CLA/term of employment linked to the employee. The working week in the CLA/term of employment shows the default number of hours based on full-time employment.
Note:
If in the CLA, you have chosen to complete the part-time percentage, enter it instead of the number of hours. Profit then calculates the number of hours.
- Select the check boxes for the default working days. The number of days selected must match the value in Number of days per week.
If the working days are not known do not select any fields. Selecting the working days has the following implications in Profit:
- Leave entry
For a new leave entry, Profit will suggest the number of leave hours based on the selected working days. You can still make changes to this suggestion.
- Calculation of timetable and worked contract days in the case of multiple simultaneous employments
The count of the number of timetable and worked contract days is affected by the selected working days. This only applies if you use the Multiple employments activation and then only for employees who actually have multiple simultaneous employments.
The use of working days does not affect the absence or timetable calendar/occupancy.
