Add an additional employment
If the employee is given a new employment that overlaps a current employment, you can add an additional employment. Profit automatically numbers the employments per employee consecutively. Adding an additional employment is only possible if you have activated the Multiple employments functionality.
Note:
For a change to the contract, the salary, the job or the timetable within an employment, you do not add a new employment. In that case you change the relevant data within the employment (number).
To add an additional employment:
- Go to: HR / Employee / Employee.
- Open the properties of the employee.
- Go to the tab: Contract.
- Click on the action: New additional employment.
- Enter the Contract start date. This is also the start date of the additional employment.
Profit displays the other data based on the employment that already exists.
- Check the data. and, if necessary, change it.
Profit automatically assigns a new income relationship number to the new employment. This can only be modified when adding the employment; it cannot be done afterwards. Normally you do not need to change this number. However, it may be necessary if you transfer an employee whose wage was previously processed using a different software package.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the new job and the organisational unit.
- Click on: Next.
- Select a timetable or complete the timetable.
The timetable must not overlap another timetable of a permanent employment.
- Click on: Next.
- Enter the salary details.
- Click on: Finish.
