Add InSite in another language
You add a site in a different language.
If you want the sites in different languages to have the same setup and structure, it is recommended to first fully configure and test one site in one language. Once this 'source site' is ready, you use it to add a new site in another language.
Adding a site in another language creates a physically new site that must be maintained separately.
To add a site in another language:
- Add a web location
Use the default installation to add a virtual path for the new site. This determines the URL of the new site.
- Open the Profit environment that functions as the back office for the new site.
- Go to: General / In & OutSite / Site.
- Select the site on which you want to base your new site.
- Click on the action: Copy.
- Enter the description.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the default theme.
- Select the language in which the site is to be published.
If you do not select a language, the site is published in the default language.
Click on: Next.
Select the web location you added previously.
You can publish the site as being under construction. Visitors to the site will then automatically receive the message that the site is being maintained. If you have rights to site management, you can access the site by adding '/admin' after the URL. This automatically launches site management for the site and you can then maintain it. After checking and adding all translations, go to the properties of the site and deselect the Publish website as 'under construction' check box.
- Click on: Finish.
The site is published; this may take some time. You can view the current status by refreshing the view using F5.
