Complete the journal structure
If the journal structure has not been configured completely, Profit displays a message.
The cause of the message may be:
- A CLA update
A CLA update may contain new wage components.
- New CLA
If you add a new CLA, the wage components have not yet been configured in the journal structure.
- Activating a wage component
You have added or activated a wage component.
- Blocked CLA
You have not configured the wage component within a blocked CLA You also always configure the wage components for the CLAs that you have blocked for the employer.
To complete the journal structure:
- Go to: HR / Payroll / Configuration / Journal structure.
- Open the properties of the journal structure.
The Journal structure maintenance window appears. This window is divided into two halves. On the left is the journal structure. On the right is a list of components you can include in the journal structure.
- Click on: Wage components.
On the right of the screen, Profit displays the wage components that you can include in the journal structure.
If Profit does not display any wage components on the right side of the window but Profit does report that the journal structure is incomplete then you can check the following:
- Using the Kiezen CAO button, you can check if there are any other CLAs that are not configured completely. You always also configure the CLAs that you have blocked for the employer.
- A wage component below a financial feature has not been linked to a ledger account yet. You can recognise this because Profit does not display a '+' in front of the wage component on the left.
- In the list on the right, select the feature of the wage component and drag it under the appropriate financial feature in the left pane.
You can only drag a wage component under a financial feature once; the component disappears from the list on the right.
- Click on: Ledger accounts.
On the right, Profit displays the ledger accounts below the wage components. On the right side, scroll down or click on Wage components so that Profit only displays the ledger accounts.
- In the list on the right, select the feature of the ledger account and drag it under the wage component in the left pane.
- You can drag multiple accounts and contra accounts under one wage component. An account that has been linked, therefore does not disappear from the list on the right. If you link multiple accounts to a wage component, you can specify a distribution percentage for journalising.
- Right-click on the parent wage component.
- Click on: Modify percentage.
- Specify the appropriate percentage for each account.
The total of the percentages should always be 100.
- You can copy the journalising from new wage components to other CLAs.
- Click on: Journaalstructuur kopiƫren naar.
- Select the Complete journal configuration where blank method.
You complete the journalising of corresponding wage components in the CLAs as needed.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the CLA for which you want to complete the journalising.
- Click on: Finish.
- Click on: Kiezen CAO. You can configure the journalising for any other CLAs. After copying the journal configuration, you need to configure the CLA-specific wage components separately.
You always also configure the CLAs that you have blocked for the employer.
