Adjust the Payroll journal structure

You can adjust the configuration of the journal structure. You can adjust the following:

Delete an account or wage component
You delete a linked account or wage component from the journal structure.
Adjust a linked account
For a wage component, you adjust the linked account.
Swap the account and contra account
In the journalising of the wage component you swap the account and the contra account.
Adjust the distribution percentage of journal entry lines
If you link two or more journal entry lines to the wage component, you can specify distribution percentages for these lines.
Copy a journal entry line to another CLA
You can copy a journal entry line to another CLA within the journal structure.

You do not record the data in the journal structure with any time-dependency. If you implement a change, you initiate a manual RAE entry afterwards so that the change is implemented with retroactive effect. You also initiate an RAE entry when you change the journal structure after a period is approved. You process the RAE entries in the next period or in a correction period.

To delete an account or wage component from the journal structure:

Go to: HR / Payroll / Configuration / Journal structure.
Open the properties of the journal structure.
On the left, select the wage component or account.
Right-click on the account or wage component.
Click on: Unlink.
Profit unlinks the account or wage component. If a wage component is unlinked, it is displayed on the right side.

To adjust an account or contra account:

Go to: HR / Payroll / Configuration / Journal structure.
Open the properties of the journal structure.
Click on: the '+' in front of the wage component.
Profit displays the linked accounts.
Right-click on the account.
Click on: Modify ledger accounts.
Select the account and/or the contra account.
Click on: OK.
Profit changes the account and/or contra account in the journal structure.

To swap the account and contra account:

Go to: HR / Payroll / Configuration / Journal structure.
Open the properties of the journal structure.
Click on: the '+' in front of the wage component.
Profit displays the linked accounts.
Right-click on the account.
Click on: Swap account and contra account.
Profit swaps the account and contra account in the journal structure.
