Open analyses, exports of views and attachments directly (AFAS Online configuration)

If you open an analysis in Profit Windows, a notification may appear on your system with that allows you to open the file locally with one mouse click. You can directly open an attachment to a dossier item or an exported view on the local system. This is the easiest and fastest way to open a file.

This method works only if the below components have been configured correctly. Check the configuration if a file does not open automatically or if no notification appears (when you open an analysis).

Note:

This topic only applies for AFAS Online. This functionality is not available in Small Business or Accountancy Lite.

If you do not use this method, open the file either using General / Output / My files or from the PCC page on InSite.

Tips for notifications:

Sometimes notifications are not displayed or not long enough. Contact your system administrator if you encounter this problem.

Points of attention:

  • Set duration for notifications

The notifications are a default Windows component. A notification is often only displayed for a short period of time, for example, 5 seconds. The duration depends on the Windows system settings. This can be a problem when opening analyses, because they are generated using the queue. This means that for a large analysis it can take some time before the notification is displayed and then only for a short time.

In order to have the notification displayed longer, set a higher duration value. The procedure depends on your Windows version.

Adjustments apply to all notifications, not only to PCC notifications.
