You complete a new wage scale with scales and steps, or expand a wage scale.

Complete a period line with new scale lines based on years of service

Arrange the wage scale on the basis of years of service.

To complete a period line with new scale lines:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Configuration / Wage scale.
  2. Open the wage scale properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Periods.
  4. Open the period line.
  5. Go to the tab: Lines.
  6. Click on: New
  7. Select the scale.
  8. Enter the step. In a wage scale based on age, use the value 0.0 and enter the age. In a wage scale based on years of service, enter the years of service (possibly with one decimal place) and do not enter the age.
  9. Enter the period amount or hourly wage in Result.

    If you select the Fixed check boxes, Profit will retain the value in question when adding the next scale line. This means you can add the data quicker.

  10. Click on: Finish.

Enter new scale lines based on age on a period line

A pay scale based on age must contain a value for each possible age (starting from 0), as indicated by the points for attention below:

  • The first scale runs from the age 0 to the first age step.
  • The last scale does not have an end age.
  • All scales have step 0.0.
  • You can use one decimal in the age.

    Example: 

    In the view below, you see an example of a wage scale:

    The first scale line applies for to employees younger than 18 years.

    The last scale line applies to employees from 23 years.

To complete a period line with new scale lines:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Configuration / Wage scale.
  2. Open the wage scale properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Periods.
  4. Open the most recent line.
  5. Go to the tab: Lines.
  6. Click on: New
  7. Select the scale.
  8. Enter the step. In a pay scale based on age, the step has the value 0.0 and you enter the age.
  9. Enter the period amount or hourly wage in Result.
  10. Click on: Finish

    Profit adds the scale line and you can immediately continue with the next line.

    If you select the Fixed check boxes, Profit will retain the value in question when adding the next scale line. This means you can add the data quicker.

Complete a period line with new scale lines based on min/max

In a min/max wage scale, you record the minimum and maximum salary for the scale line.

In the view below, you see an example of a min/max wage scale:

Per wage scale, a fixed amount for the increase applies.

The percentage increase applies as from the start date of the line for the period in which the periodic increases are assigned. You can apply them if a general (CLA) salary increase is applicable.

To complete a period line with new scale lines:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Configuration / Wage scale.
  2. Open the wage scale properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Periods.
  4. Open the most recent line.
  5. Go to the tab: Min/max-regels.
  6. Click on: New
  7. Select the scale.

    If you want to use a new scale, first add it in the free table Scale.

  8. In the min/max wage scale, enter the minimum and maximum salary for the scale line.
  9. Enter the percentage or the amount of the increase for the assignment of the periodic increases.

    Depending on the method of increase in this wage scale, enter an amount or a percentage.

  10. Enter the percentage of the increase if there is a general wage increase.

    Profit increases the salary of the employees as from the start date of this period line when assigning periodic increases.

  11. Click on: Finish

    Profit adds the scale line and you can immediately continue with the next line.
