Configure returnable packaging
The configuration for returnable packaging consists of activating the functionality, setting the ledger account for the integration with Profit Financieel, adding the article and, finally, linking the returnable packaging article to a regular article.
Note:
In Profit Subscriptions, you cannot use articles and assembled items to which packagings are linked. In Profit Projecten, you also do not have the option to register the use of packagings.

Description
Returnable packaging is a type of packaging for which a packaging deposit is charged. For this, you also need to set up the integration with Profit Financieel.
If required, you can maintain a returnable packaging administration so that you know which sales contacts have which returnable packaging. When the sales order lines are added, the returnable packaging lines are automatically added for the linked articles. You can also use returnable packagings without this link. In this case, you enter them manually in the order.
Procedure
- Activate the returnable packaging, packaging and disposal levy functionality
To be able to add and use packagings, returnable packagings and disposal fees, you must first activate the Wrapping/packaging/disposal fee functionality.
- Integration with Financial for returnable packaging
For the integration with Profit Financieel, you record the ledger account for the returnable packaging in the article group.
- Authorise packaging
If you want to enter a packaging or returnable packaging in a sales order, you must first authorise this.
- Add a returnable packaging
You add a returnable packaging as a packaging article (article with the Packaging indication) and select the check box to indicate that it is returnable packaging and enter the packaging deposit.
- Link a returnable packaging to an article
You link the returnable packaging article to the 'normal' articles so the returnable packaging article is entered in the order process when you enter the regular article. For articles and assembled items, you can link up to five different packagings per article per unit.
