Configure Payroll

As application manager, you adjust a number of settings for the Payroll process.

Description

As application manager, you configure a number of elements related to the salary processing, journalising, pay slips and digital delivery.

Procedure

  • Employer

In the properties of an employer, settings for the Payroll process are maintained.

  • Main and sub-employers

In Profit, you can use the functionality for Main and Sub-employers. You can use this functionality, for example if you send on secondment/lend out (part of) the personnel.

  • Salary processing

You maintain the salary processing plan per employer in Profit. The salary processing plan is the engine driving the salary processing. For every period in which you process salaries you add a period line to the salary processing plan. A line in the salary processing plan is called a period line.

  • Batch processing

You perform tasks, such as processing and approving the salaries, using the queue.

  • Journalising

Journalising allows you to establish a link between the salary administration and the financial administration.

  • Configure Payroll payments

In Profit, you can automate the payment of ‘Loonheffing’ to the tax authority, pension premiums to the pension funds and salaries to the employees.

  • Configure pay slips

In Profit you can adjust the configuration of pay slips.

  • Report sets

Using report sets in Profit, you can generate a fixed set of reports per employer from the Salary processing cockpit.

  • Digital pension delivery

In Profit, you can generate a pension delivery for several pension funds.

  • Educational delivery

In Profit, you can generate digital files for the deliveries to the 'Vervangingsfonds (VF)', 'Participatiefonds (PF)', 'DUO', 'Risicofonds', 'MBO Raad' and 'HBO Raad'.

  • In Service processing

For communication between yourself and the AFAS Service agency you use the AFAS Communication Service.

  • Long-term budget

In Profit you can create a long-term budget for future year wage costs on the basis of currently available figures (deductibles, tax brackets, pay scales, etc).

  • ‘Werkkostenregeling’

In Profit, you can apply the 'Werkkostenregeling' (WKR). You are not obligated to apply the 'Werkkostenregeling' until 2015. You can choose to do so each year, however, up until 2015.
