Preparation

  • Configure Subscriptions

When configuring Profit Subscriptions you configure the integration with Profit Financial and you supplement a number of custom tables with specific subscription data applicable to your situation.

Procedure

  • Add a subscription

You add subscriptions to sales contacts.

  • View a subscription

You can view general data, assembled item lines and invoice lines for each subscription.

  • Invoice subscriptions

Using Profit Subscriptions, you can easily automatically generate invoices for amounts that have to be invoiced periodically. Profit automatically suggests subscriptions which are eligible for invoicing on the basis of the cycle set.

  • Journalise subscription invoices

You process the subscription invoices and credit notes via the journalising in the financial administration. Once the journalising is done, you can no longer change the invoices or credit notes.

  • View journalised subscription invoices

You can display an overview of the journalised subscription invoices.

  • Change a subscription

After adding a subscription, and in some cases after generating a subscription invoice, you can still change a number of aspects of the subscription.

  • Revalue a subscription

You can revalue the value of the subscription, which is to say that you allow Profit to recalculate the value from a specific reference date.

  • Extend subscriptions

You can extend subscriptions in accordance with the cycle set. The extension of subscriptions only indicates for which period Profit must extend the subscriptions. It has no effect on the invoicing.

  • Terminate and no longer invoice a subscription
  • You can a terminate a subscription and ensure that Profit never again includes the subscription in the invoicing. You use this, for example, if you have terminated the last subscription lines of a subscription which has already been invoiced and no credit entry is required.
  • Terminate and credit subscriptions

You can terminate subscriptions as a whole or only one line at a time. You can also credit a terminated subscription or a terminated subscription line. For example because a sales contact has terminated an annual subscription halfway through the year, but has already paid for the whole year.

  • View a subscription analysis

You can use the supplied analysis to analyse your subscriptions.

  • Subscriptions in InSite

In InSite, you have a Subscriptions menu. On the page linked to this menu (known as the portal page), several menu functions are available.

  • View subscription reports

In Profit you will find a number of supplied reports which provide insight into how your subscriptions are doing.
