Improve the environment performance (local installation)

If the performance of a certain environment deteriorates, the administrator can improve the performance by rebuilding the indexes and updating the statistics using the following procedure.

You can also perform the option described below using the Command Line Utility.

To improve the environment performance:

  1. Go to: Options / Log on as administrator.

Profit shows the user name of the administrator. You added this administrator when you started up Profit for the first time after installation.

  2. Enter the administrator's password.
  3. Click on: OK.
  4. Go to: Management / Environment Manager.
  5. Select the environment.
  6. Go to: Options / SQL Data.
  7. Go to: Options / Rebuild indices and update statistics.

    Note:

This function may take a while to run. We therefore recommend that you perform this function at a time when the load on Profit is minimal (but it is not mandatory for all the users to log off from Profit first).
