General settings in an entry layout

In many of the entry layouts you can specify settings that apply to every new entry posted using that layout.

Some settings appear again and again in the entry layouts of the order process. For example, you specify whether Profit should e-mail quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, etc. always, never or only after a question.

On the other hand, there are also settings that only apply to a certain type of entry layout.

For example:

In the quotation entry layout you specify that Profit should immediately finalise every quotation. This setting is not available in the entry layouts for sales orders.

To set general settings in an entry layout:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Entry layout.
  2. Open the entry layout.
  3. Go to the tab: General settings.

    This tab is not available in all entry layouts. If the tab is not available, there are no general settings.

  4. In Continue after completion, specify whether you want to immediately post another entry or whether you want to return to the view.

    For the following processes you can specify specific settings in the entry layouts:
