Upgrade to Update 8

In case of a new Profit Update, you must reinstall the PCC. It is not required to first uninstall the old PCC (corresponding to the previous Update).

The settings of the old installation are automatically copied and you do not have to relink the environment(s).

Note:

This topic only applies to a local installation. You must first install the Update and convert the environments. If a patch for the PCC is available, install it as well.

You can update a locally installed PCC automatically (after the once-only installation of the PCC for Update 2016.2.08). However, this always requires user intervention. On a Terminal Server, the PCC is often only called by the command line, so no automatic updates are run. Make sure that the PCC on the Terminal Server is updated regularly.

Installation on a terminal server by the administrator:

  1. Log on to the terminal server.
  2. Go to:General / User / Communication Center / Save installation.

Save the file on the terminal server.

  3. Run the installation file PccSetup on the terminal server.
