Dossier item type
In dossiers and workflows, you can use the dossier item types supplied as defaults or types that you add yourself.
Profit comes with a large number of default dossier item types which you can configure yourself. You can add an unlimited number of dossier item types. You can add up to 40 types of dossier items in which custom fields are used.

Procedure
- Add a dossier item type
The dossier items you save to the dossiers are classified by type. The dossier item type forms the basis for the configuration of the workflow. You can add dossier item types yourself.
- Set destinations for a dossier item type
The destination of a dossier item determines the dossier in which you can view the item. You can select multiple destinations. For example, if you select Employee and Course as destinations, you can open the submitted dossier item from the employee and course dossier.
- Change a dossier item type
After you have added a dossier item type, you can still change its properties.
- Block a dossier item type
You can block a dossier item type. A blocked dossier item type can no longer be submitted in Profit Windows, InSite and/or OutSite.
- Custom fields for a dossier item type
You can extend dossier item types with custom fields, so that you can add company-specific data to the dossier items. These custom fields are placed on tabs you can also add yourself.
