Edit a page

You edit the pages on the site. If you change a page, a draft of the page is immediately created. This draft is only visible to the managers, and not to the visitors of the site. When the site manager performs the Publish action, the draft is finalised and the changed page is available for visitors.

Note:

If you make a change to a page, the change is visible on all the sites to which the page is linked. This is because a page is a centrally maintained piece of data that is identical on all sites. If you create a page in site A, you can also select it in site B. If you then make changes to the page in one of the two sites, these changes are also implemented for the other site. This also applies if you change a page on a test site; if the same page is displayed on the 'live' site, the change is also visible there.

If you do not want this to happen, you need to link a different page on the test site.

When you edit a draft page, the Properties button is available. This action allows you to modify the description or the features of the page.

This video was recorded using InSite, the functionality works the same in OutSite.
