To delete a task from an existing workflow:

If you have linked the wrong task to an action, you can delete it. When you delete a task, the linked actions and tasks are also deleted.

You can also delete a task without deleting the action and tasks linked to it. If you delete a task in which a part (follow-up task) is referenced from another task, then this part, together with all underlying tasks and actions, is moved forwards.

Note:

If you delete a task, you do not receive any message. If you deleted the wrong task, you can undo the deletion by pressing Ctrl+Z.

A basic workflow appears as follows:

Ins_Actie verwijderen (10)

After the deletion of the Reject task, the workflow is as follows. The Review and For info tasks remain but the Reject task is deleted along with all underlying items.

Ins_Taak verwijderen (20)

To delete a task without deleting the rest of the workflow, you first need to copy the action behind the task you want to delete. After deleting the task, you can paste the copied action behind the task.

Example:

In the above workflow, you want to delete the Accorderen task.

First, copy the Accorderen action after the Accorderen task. Then delete the Afkeuren action for the Accorderen task. This action also deletes the underlying actions and tasks.

Now select the Beoordelen task and choose paste. You have now pasted the copied action behind the task. This allows you to retain the action and the underlying tasks and action.
