Rounding method

In Profit, you have the option to record a rounding method in various places, for example when recording prices or revaluing prices.

A number of rounding methods are supplied as defaults.

Add a rounding method:

  1. Go to General / Configuration / Rounding method.
  2. Click on New.
  3. Complete the fields. The rounding is determined by the combination of the fields below:
    • In the Direction field, you specify if numbers are always rounded up or down. For a logical rounding, Profit itself determines whether rounding is up or down based on the closest number.
    • In the Decimals field, you specify the degree of rounding yourself. For example, using One tenth will round the number 1.42 to 1.4.
    • If you select the value Whole in the Decimals field, Profit will round to whole numbers. If you want to round to a multiple, enter a value higher than 1 here. This setting is intended for rounding to 5 cents (in that case, you enter the value 5).
  4. Click on OK.
