Copy an article

Your product range probably includes many articles that strongly resemble each other. If you want to add an article that resembles an existing article, copy the existing article and save it under a new article code..

Note: 

You can ensure that not all users are allowed to perform this action. You configure this using action authorisation.

To copy an article:

  1. Go to: Order Management / Item / Article.
  2. Open the view: Items (All).
  3. Select the article to be copied.
  4. Click on the action: Copy article.
  5. Enter a value in New item code.
  6. Select the Transfer prices/discounts check box if you want to copy the prices and discounts from the source article.
  7. If it is visible, also select the Include warehouse allocations check box.

    This field is only visible if you have multiple warehouses and have configured the warehouse allocation.

  8. Click on: Finish.

    The properties window of the new article appears.

  9. At the bottom left of the window, click on the Price/discount action.
  10. Go to the tab: Sales price.
  11. Click on the action: Maintain.
  12. Select the currency.
  13. Click on the action: F5. Select.

    The current price appears.

  14. Enter a new sales price.
  15. Click on: Finish
  16. Click on: Cancel. This closes the entry window.
  17. Click on: Close
  18. Click on: OK
